Cherokee-M Construction - Rings and bulkheads

April 26, 2003:

This step is to give me the option to add a booster stage at some future date. There will be four conduits of 11/32" OD (5/16" ID) brass tubing that will mate up with 5/16" OD carbon rods from a hypothetical booster, plus a fifth conduit to run sustainer ignitor wires down from a staging timer in the top of the fincan section of the sustainer.

In order to line the holes up, I stuck all the centering rings on a scrap section of 98mm motor tube, taped them together, and drilled them simultaneously. I also drilled an extra centering ring at the same time, that I will save to help me align the mating carbon rods when and if I ever build a booster stage.
